Fun Pool Party Games For Kids

By Leola Walls

Throwing a small party for the children can be a really fun thing to do because both the children and the adults can enjoy themselves. Of course no kiddie party would be complete with some fun activities that will entertain all of the guests to no ends. So here are some great ideas for pool party games for kids that are sure to make the event a really enjoyable one

The most basic swimming game would be a race to one corner of the pool to the other. This is a great way to break the ice because it is something that every kid knows how to do. Of course one must make sure that there is a person looking after these kids just in case there is an emergency where in one of the children end up drowning.

A scavenger hunt under the water is yet another fun activity that has become popular is parties. The host will be throwing a small object somewhere in the water. The kids will wait for the object to sink and after a few seconds, they have to find the small object. The kids will dive under the water and of course the first one to grab hold of the small object will be the winner of the game.

Some kids have probably heard about water basketball which is the wet version of normal basketball. Water basketball is very much like the normal one however, the rules are not that strict because it is harder to move in the water. Basically, the goal here is to shoot the ball into the basket as many times as possible.

The classic game of tag can also be played in the water. The it will be the one to wait inside the water. The remaining players will jump into the pool at the same time. The goal is to catch the other players while the others must avoid the it. The players have five seconds to stay out of the pool to take a break.

A great game that can be played outside the water is hose limbo. In regular limbo, the player must walk under a piece of wood while he keeps on learning back. Unlike this traditional way, a piece of wood will not be used. Instead, the host will shoot a line of water and the players must go underneath the water and not get wet.

Nothing can beat the classic water balloon dodge ball. All kids must be out of the pool in order to participate in this game. The children must be divided into two groups and must have a number of water balloons ready in their arsenal. The objective here is for a team to eliminate the entire opposing team by hitting them with water balloons. The first team to have all members of the other team taken out is the loser.

Basically, those are some great ideas for pool party games for kids. Always remember that these activities must have adult supervision because things may be able to get out of control really fast. So remember to always monitor the children and to just have fun.
