Capsiplex - Five HTP as well as appetite management

By Kate Johnston

You might have heard of the weight loss supplement 5 HTP but what happens it is?? Lets go back to basics and explain what 5-HTP is along with what it can do.

Foods like meat, peanuts and sesame seeds all contain an amino called Tryptophan which our brains use to convert into 5-HTP (5-Hydroxytryptophan).

The brain then make use of the 5-HTP and turn it into serotonin, that's one of the 'happy' chemicals that assists control our appetite, mood and sleep patterns.

Many of us suffer from low serotonin levels, specifically those that live in stress-filled everyday lives.

Using a low serotonin level can result in many being obese, crave sugar as well as leaving them also wanting more carbohydrates than normal.

They also experience periods of depression, get frequent headaches and have vague muscle pains and aches. Low levels of serotonin may also be believed to be to blame for mood swings and depression, and in some cases overeating.

Understandably this is any dieter's worst nightmare, but unfortunately more of us than it may seem suffer from having lower levels of serotonin.

Many of these conditions are fixable by raising our minds serotonin levels as well as a good way to make this happen is through a high quality 5-HTP supplement.

While anti-depressants work keeping the serotonin our body's produce "free" in your brains, 5-HTP helps our body's produce more serotonin plus theory help in keeping our "happy" "free" levels higher.

Low serotonin (or poor metabolism of serotonin) leaves us craving more sugar (especially women during PMS) When we have cravings for food it can be generally our body's way of telling us that people need a serotonin 'hit'.

Eating simple carbs like white bread or chocolate can certainly boost our brain's serotonin levels (that's why it feels so good).

Unfortunately getting relief by doing this is only temporary to cause the spiteful cycle of blood glucose levels going up and down like a yo-yo, which over time can leave you feeling worse!

Keeping a steady balance of your respective serotonin levels using 5HTP you are able to control appetite and beat food cravings.

In summary, taking a 5-HTP supplement can help us control our appetites and lose weight. Our brain can absorb Tryptophan easier if you have carbohydrate present.

When the world thinks depressed we have a tendency to crave food made from starch, which lacking the knowledge of it, is our body's ways of trying to absorb more tryptophan, which boosts our serotonin levels.

Taking 5-HTP just like a supplement can boost our serotonin levels naturally which avoids our craving for food and hopefully avoids us more weight.
